The Devil and What Keeps Us Tethered
About this Session
Please note:
This is an audio only Space. Cameras off please.
Why do we keep doing things we know aren’t good for us?
The Devil is a card of temptation, attachment, and the things that seem to have a hold on us. We can see the pattern. We can know what it costs. And still, somehow, find ourselves back in it.
A habit. A person. A choice we keep making. Something we swear we’re done with until we aren’t.
This Session uses The Devil as a mirror.
- What keeps pulling us back?
- What are we getting from the things we say we want to stop?
- What would we have to face if we finally let them go?
Today, we’ll look gently at where we sabotage ourselves, the patterns we repeat, and the distance between knowing and changing.
You don’t need to know anything about Tarot. Just come curious.
About this Space
The Tarot has a lot to say about being human.
The Fool steps into the unknown. The Devil keeps us tethered. The Hanged Man asks us to surrender. The Hermit steps away from the noise.
For centuries, these cards have represented forces we keep encountering in our lives: power. Desire. Control. Attachment. Procrastination. Change. Solitude. Surrender. Risk. The parts of ourselves that behave beautifully, badly, irrationally, courageously, and sometimes with absolutely zero chill.
In this personal growth Space, we’ll use the Major Arcana as mirrors for our own lives. Each Session begins with one card and opens into the questions underneath it:
When do I continue to do things that are hurting me?
What’s keeping me from starting something I value?
Where does my need for control help me, and where does it get in my way?
What am I being asked to stop forcing?
What can I hear about myself when I step away from everyone else’s expectations?
What patterns keep showing up, and what might they be asking me to learn?
Who is this Space for?
Anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply, notice the patterns shaping their choices, and bring what they discover in our Sessions into everyday life.
This is not a tarot reading or a class on how to read cards.
\You don’t need to know anything about tarot to join. We’ll use these old archetypes as prompts for self-reflection and self-discovery, exploring our choices, patterns, and the ways we might grow through the parts of life we cannot completely control.
