The Hanged Man and What Happens When We Stop Pushing
About this Session
Note: This is an audio only Space. Cameras off please.
What if pushing harder is the thing keeping us stuck?
The Hanged Man is a card of pause and seeing things from another angle. Nothing is moving, and for once, that may be the point.
Feeling stuck can make us restless. We make another plan or put more effort into the one that isn’t working. Before long, we’re not just trying to move forward. We’re fighting the fact that we haven’t.
**This Session is about the things we can’t force, no matter how badly we want them to change.
How do we know when to keep going and when to leave something alone? What can we see from where we are that we couldn’t see while trying so hard to get somewhere else?
You don’t need to know anything about Tarot to join. Just come curious.
About this Space
The Tarot has a lot to say about being human.
The Fool steps into the unknown. The Devil keeps us tethered. The Hanged Man asks us to surrender. The Hermit steps away from the noise.
For centuries, these cards have represented forces we keep encountering in our lives: power. Desire. Control. Attachment. Procrastination. Change. Solitude. Surrender. Risk. The parts of ourselves that behave beautifully, badly, irrationally, courageously, and sometimes with absolutely zero chill.
In this personal growth Space, we’ll use the Major Arcana as mirrors for our own lives. Each Session begins with one card and opens into the questions underneath it:
When do I continue to do things that are hurting me?
What’s keeping me from starting something I value?
Where does my need for control help me, and where does it get in my way?
What am I being asked to stop forcing?
What can I hear about myself when I step away from everyone else’s expectations?
What patterns keep showing up, and what might they be asking me to learn?
Who is this Space for?
Anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply, notice the patterns shaping their choices, and bring what they discover in our Sessions into everyday life.
This is not a tarot reading or a class on how to read cards.
\You don’t need to know anything about tarot to join. We’ll use these old archetypes as prompts for self-reflection and self-discovery, exploring our choices, patterns, and the ways we might grow through the parts of life we cannot completely control.
