The Fool and What Keeps Us From Starting
About this Session
Note: This is an audio only Space. Cameras off please.
How long do we wait to feel ready before waiting becomes the thing that stops us?
The Fool is a card of beginnings. He steps forward without knowing exactly where the road will lead.
Most of us prefer a little more certainty than that.
We can spend a long time preparing for something we already want to do. We research. We rethink it. We tell ourselves we’ll start once we feel more confident or know enough to get it right.
At some point, preparation can turn into procrastination.
This Session is about what keeps us from starting. What are we waiting to know first? What feels so risky about beginning before we know how it will turn out?
You don’t need to know anything about Tarot to join. Just come curious.
About this Space
The Tarot has a lot to say about being human.
The Fool steps into the unknown. The Devil keeps us tethered. The Hanged Man asks us to surrender. The Hermit steps away from the noise.
For centuries, these cards have represented forces we keep encountering in our lives: power. Desire. Control. Attachment. Procrastination. Change. Solitude. Surrender. Risk. The parts of ourselves that behave beautifully, badly, irrationally, courageously, and sometimes with absolutely zero chill.
In this personal growth Space, we’ll use the Major Arcana as mirrors for our own lives. Each Session begins with one card and opens into the questions underneath it:
When do I continue to do things that are hurting me?
What’s keeping me from starting something I value?
Where does my need for control help me, and where does it get in my way?
What am I being asked to stop forcing?
What can I hear about myself when I step away from everyone else’s expectations?
What patterns keep showing up, and what might they be asking me to learn?
Who is this Space for?
Anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply, notice the patterns shaping their choices, and bring what they discover in our Sessions into everyday life.
This is not a tarot reading or a class on how to read cards.
\You don’t need to know anything about tarot to join. We’ll use these old archetypes as prompts for self-reflection and self-discovery, exploring our choices, patterns, and the ways we might grow through the parts of life we cannot completely control.
