For some, the risk of failing where others can see is reason enough not to try.

This can be the case even for those of at us who feel at home on stage or on camera. Likewise, struggling with no one watching carries another kind of sting. This session sits inside that tension between two sides of struggle, tracing what each experience has taught us and how differently they land. We'll also talk about the space between the two, the moment right before asking for something we want, and whatever it is that usually stops us from asking at all. No quick fixes, no career strategy. Just a discussion of what these experiences have actually felt like, told in our own words.

This work asks a lot of us. The feelings that come with it deserve somewhere to go.

Rejection, comparison, the question of whether it's still worth what it costs. Anyone who has chosen this life knows its weight. Most rooms in this industry exist to fix it: classes, coaching, notes. This room exists to feel it, together.

Who this Space is for
Actors and performers at every stage. Years of steady work, a handful of credits, or just getting started. Stage, film, comedy, voiceover. Experience level doesn't matter here because the conversations aren't about craft or breaking in. They're about the inner life of doing this, the emotional ground we all stand on.

What happens in a session.
We meet twice a month, digitally. Every session has one topic, posted before sign-up, so there are no surprises about what we're walking into. The Keeper facilitates discussion with a few prompts, and from there the session belongs to our stories. When did this happen last? What did it feel like? Everyone gets room to speak, and no one is required to.

Rather than exchanging advice, solicited or otherwise, we wish to empower each other in the practice of saying what we need out loud, in front of witnesses. Not so someone can rush to a solution, but because hearing ourselves name it is worth something on its own.

The topics change every session. Over time, the same faces can start to feel like the rare colleagues we can be unfinished around.
