About this Session
A session for exploring self-love, self-compassion, and the way we speak to ourselves.
Most of us spend our entire lives with one person: ourselves.
Yet for many of us, that relationship is shaped by criticism instead of compassion. We notice our flaws before our strengths. We minimize our accomplishments, question our worth, and speak to ourselves in ways we would never speak to someone we love.
In this session, we’ll explore what it means to cultivate a kinder relationship with ourselves. Together, we’ll reflect on where our inner voice comes from, how self-talk shapes our confidence and emotional wellbeing, and why self-love can feel so difficult in a world that often tells us we’re never enough.
We’ll talk about the inner critic, comparison, shame, perfectionism, and the habits that keep us disconnected from ourselves. We’ll also explore what genuine self-compassion looks like—not as toxic positivity or pretending everything is okay, but as learning to meet ourselves with patience, honesty, and care, especially during difficult moments.
This isn’t a space about becoming perfectly confident or loving every part of yourself overnight. It’s a space to reflect on the relationship you’ll have for the rest of your life and how it might feel to become someone who supports yourself instead of constantly tearing yourself down.
This session is for you if:
- You struggle with self-criticism or negative self-talk
- You find it easier to show compassion to others than to yourself
- You constantly compare yourself to other people
- You’re working on building confidence, self-worth, or self-acceptance
- You want to develop a healthier relationship with yourself
You don’t have to arrive feeling confident or full of self-love to belong here. If you’ve ever wished your inner voice sounded a little more like a friend than a critic, this space is for you. 💛
About this Space
Belonging is the space where we ask: Where do I fit in the world, and where do I fit within myself?
It’s about identity, home, community, and the quiet ache of wanting to be understood. In this space, we explore the places where we feel connected, the moments where we feel othered, and the relationships that shape our sense of self.
This is a space for the in-between places where belonging changes, breaks, rebuilds, or surprises us.
How Does it Work?
This is an open, guided discussion led by your Keeper, Jesse. Each participant will have the opportunity to listen to and share experiences on belonging, identity, community, and whatever else comes up during the session.
When and How Do We Meet?
We meet digitally every couple of weeks to make participation easy for those with demanding schedules. Cameras are optional, and you’re welcome to join from wherever you are, even between shifts. We only ask that you find a private place to join or use headphones to help maintain the security of everyone present.
