About this Session
There's a version of you that only exists when no one's checking.
Most men carry around a version of themselves built for other people. The one at work, the one with the guys, the one online, the one your family expects. It's not fake exactly. It's more like a set of adjustments, made so many times they stop feeling like adjustments at all.
The harder question is what's underneath that. Who are you in the fifteen minutes before anyone else is awake, or while the rest of your household sleeps. What do you actually think about, want, or feel when there's no one around to clock the reaction.
For some men that private self feels like a relief, the one place they get to put the performance down. For others it's unfamiliar territory, a person they've lost touch with somewhere along the way.
This session isn't about catching yourself in a lie. It's about noticing the gap, if there is one, between the self you show and the self you are.
This session is an invitation to sit with that gap honestly, with a spirit of curiosity toward what the individual's partition between public and private lives might reveal to us about ourselves.
About this Space
This is a Space for men to speak honestly about their inner lives, without needing to perform, fix, or prove anything.
In a world where expectations around masculinity are shifting, many of us are left sorting through conflicting messages about who we’re supposed to be. Balancing projecting strength and vulnerability, aspiring to independence while yearning for connection; our frameworks for male identity don’t always mesh easily. And for a lot of men, there aren’t many places where that tension can be explored out loud.
This group offers a place to slow down and reflect in the company of others who are interested in sitting with complex questions related to the male and masculine-presenting zones of the gender spectrum. Together we’ll explore identity, relationships and emotional life. We aspire to take thorough inventory of the stories we've inherited about what it means to be a man.
There’s no pressure to have it all figured out—just an invitation to be real, in whatever way feels right to you.
