About this Session
According to Jung, symbols are not arbitrary or meaningless. Instead, they are the psyche's way of revealing hidden or repressed truths.
Jung believed that symbols are the unconscious mindās attempt to communicate with the conscious mind, often bringing up deep emotions, hidden truths, and unacknowledged aspects of the self.
Today, weāre putting logic and reasoning aside to explore the meaning behind the symbols that may have quietly shaped our lives without us even realizing it.
"The symbols of the unconscious are not things but reflections of psychic realities." ā Carl Jung
About this Space
Thereās a part of you that lives beneath the surfaceāquiet, powerful, and often overlooked.
š The Hidden Self is a Space to explore your unconscious mind through the lens of Jungian psychology. Together, weāll reflect on the masks we wear (the persona), the parts of ourselves weāve pushed away (the shadow), and the symbols and dreams that offer clues to who we really are.
When we turn toward the hidden parts of ourselves, we often find the clarity, purpose, and self-trust weāve been searching for.
The Hidden Self is for anyone who wants to explore:
- Jungian concepts like the persona, shadow, and archetypes
- Dream interpretation and the symbolic language of the psyche
- Shadow work and inner integration
- How unconscious patterns shape our relationships, choices, and sense of meaning
Prompts to Consider
- Which Jungian archetype do you resonate with most (e.g., the Hero, the Shadow, the Anima/Animus)?
- What patterns keep repeating in your lifeāand what might they be asking you to face?
- What have your recent dreams been trying to show you?
āThe dream is a little hidden door in the innermost and most secret recesses of the soulā¦ā ā Carl Jung
