About this Session
This week, on Self-Love Sanctuary, our topic is: Giving to Others vs. Giving to Ourselves
According to Buddah: “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." If this is true, then why do we often find it easier to extend compassion, empathy, and love towards others, while struggling to do the same for ourselves?
This week, we'll explore the love we extend to others versus the love we extend to ourselves.
A couple topics up for discussion are:
What patterns do you notice in the way you typically prioritize meeting the needs of others compared to meeting your own needs?
Think about the ways you currently nurture and support yourself emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Are there areas where you could offer yourself more care and attention?
Looking forward to our Circle!
About this Circle
One of my all-time favorite quotes comes from the illustrious empowerment guru himself, RuPaul: "If you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else? Can I get an amen?"
Self-Love Sanctuary is a Circle dedicated to learning to love ourselves, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whether you're just starting your self-love journey or need gentle reminders, Self-Love Sanctuary offers a judgment-free space to explore the many facets of ourselves. We'll discuss the parts of of ourselves we love, how to love the parts that need a little more tending to, and how to let go of negative ideas of ourselves we hang onto.
Self-Love Sanctuary will pose prompts like the following:
*What is your favorite body part?
*Can you share one of your recent accomplishments, no matter how big or how small?
What aspects of yourself do you want to transform in pursuit of self-love?
If you're interested in Self-Love Sanctuary, but this time slot doesn't work for you, shoot me an email!
