About this Circle
I usually like getting to the deeper deep of what I’m feeling, why I’m feeling it, when I’m feeling it. But sometimes, all I really need is a break–something to get me out of intrusive thoughts or stressful situations. Sometimes, all I need to do is a laugh.
Laugh it Out is dedicated to the weird, the absurd, the funny. Here, we don’t need to take ourselves too seriously; we just need to have a little bit of fun.
In addition to pulling us out of our heads, laughter offers a wide range of health benefits. It triggers the release of endorphins, which reduces the body’s stress levels. Shared laughter promotes social connection, fostering sense of camaraderie. Laughter can even improve memory, creativity, and problem-solving skills by increasing oxygen supply to the brain.
And if science isn’t enough, let’s not forget that the master of comedy, Charlie Chaplin, once said, “Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain.”
