About this Space
Ever made yourself smaller for the benefit of the male ego?
Do you have problems asking for what you want?
Has your fear of being wrong led to inaction?
Has the male gaze adversely affected your view of yourself and other women?
Do you keep most of these feelings to yourself?
Me too.
Badss Btches: Reclaiming Our Power is a 6-week Spaces series for women and people who identify as women. Here, we explore the barriers that often leave us feeling powerless in the pursuit of reshaping ourselves and the world around us.
BABS provides a safe space for us to openly share our fears, insecurities, anger, and sadness without censoring ourselves. BABS is a space where we can gain perspectives from people who truly understand.
Here’s a look at the topics we’ll move through together:
- Week One: Minimizing
- Week Two: The Male Gaze
- Week Three: Confronting Anger
- Week Four: Internalized Misogyny
- Week Five: Confronting Guilt and Shame
- Week Six: Empowerment
For 6 weeks, we will be meeting for one hour on Tuesdays at 5:30PM(PST). Please join only if you can commit to at least the first 3 weeks. Seats are limited, so reserve your seat at the Space while you can!
Signing up on this page ensures you have a spot for all six weeks.
My goal with BABS is to destigmatize the feelings that come with being a woman today. I aim to nurture the inner strength that empowers us by discussing concepts we don’t typically address in our day-to-day lives. This strength will enable us to not only pursue our desires, but also confidently occupy space as our true selves.
