Hey, I'm Anthony! I'm a Queer BIPOC man currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Prior to living in LA, I spent a decade in San Diego where I attained my Ph.D. in Epidemiology / Biostatistics from the University of California San Diego. Concurrent with graudate school, I worked as an Epidemiologist for the US Department of Defense conducting HIV, STI, and Infectious Disease studies in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and South America.

As someone who grew up in a religious household and has always felt misunderstood and alienated by my biological family, I understand the importance of chosen family and how vital it is to building community, connectedness, and a supportive environment.

I'm thrilled to join the fantastic team at Totem and hold spaces to listen to others' stories and lived experiences, make genuine connections, and serve as a source of support.
