About this Space
We are all valued here!
This is a closed Space for those who are currently serving time. All people are valuable and deserve a Space where they are treated as such. These Spaces offer a rare opportunity for individuals who have experienced trauma to reclaim their voice. We operate on principles of mutual respect, confidentiality, and non-judgment, encouraging participants to open up about their lives, mistakes, and aspirations for the future. This Space, much like all of our Spaces, is non-hierarchical. The leader and all participants contribute equally, nurturing each attendee's sense of self-worth and value.
In this Space, we don't focus on incarceration itself-they know where they are. Instead, we focus on what it means to be human and how we can all learn more about ourselves in the hopes that we get the chance to show up to the world in meaningful ways. Most of us have the answers to the bigger questions in life; we just carve out the space and time to explore them.
Here is a sampling of some of the sort of questions discussed in Spaces:
-
What are some challenges you think women face today?
-
Tell us about a time you felt outside of your integrity?
-
How do you want to be remembered?
"Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you."
